Welcome! Thank you for stopping by.
Eucasea (you-ka-see) is a tiny art studio located where the sea mist from the Pacific Ocean mingles with the fresh scent of eucalyptus trees. We love to make jewelry and ceramics - slowly, thoughtfully, and in small batches with our hands. We hope you find something that you can take with you that reminds you of how beautiful it is to be human.
Meet the Makers
Christy
is a multiracial artist, who spent her childhood moving between the California coast and Japan. In 2012 she started Christy Natsumi, a custom wedding jewelry studio in San Francisco, CA. Her designs were often featured in publications such as The Knot, Design Sponge, Brides.com, and San Francisco Chronicle among others. However, after nearly 15 years and a move to Santa Cruz, Christy decided to transition her business to Eucasea in 2026. While there will always be a selection of wedding rings available in Eucasea’s repertoire, this transition marks a shift to ready-to-wear jewelry designed to celebrate the beauty of earth’s treasures and the humanness of the maker and wearer.
Christy’s favorite studio snacks are dark chocolate, oranges, and oatcakes with peanut butter.
Greg
is a California native from LA and Orange county. As a teen, he was inspired by creating webpages and went to college for Design. Christy and Greg met at a beginner metal smithing class at a local community center, before getting married a few years later sharing a love for creating together. While he didn’t pursue jewelry making, he has developed a passion for ceramics and creates most of the functional pottery ware on Eucasea.
Greg’s favorite studio snacks are rice crackers, peanut butter pretzels, and a good beer.
Walnut
is head studio dog and QC officer. She is always keeping a watchful eye on our work from her comfy bed in the corner. She is a shepherd mega mutt rescued from Copper’s Dream Dog Rescue.
Walnut’s favorite studio snacks are beef sticks and Costco biscuits.
Eucasea is a solar-powered studio located on Uypi Territory, the ancestral and unceded lands of the Awaswas speaking Ohlone people, also known as Santa Cruz CA USA.
